COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS , WORLD MEDALS , AUSTRIA AND HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE, Salzburg, Bishopric, Mathäus Lang von Wellenburg (1469-1519-1540), Cardinal and Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, Restitutional Cast Copy in Copper of the Medallic Guldiner, 1520, by Hans Schwartz, bust left wearing berret, rev cardinal’s hat over armorial shield, legend ends LEG, 37.5mm, 13.13g (cf Zöttl 200 (201 in tin); cf Dav 8164; cf Probszt 220). Very fine and rare. The obverse has traces of the accession and death dates inked to left and right of the bust. The dies for the original coin were used to strike 8-Ducats and 4-Ducats in gold as well as the Guldiner and ½-Guldiner in silver. £120-150
