Leg: M.E.V.B.& S.D.C. - P.R.S.R.I.A & E.L.L. Reverse Madonna standing, scepter in right hand, crowned overal shield in left. Leg: TVTA.STA.T.BAVARIA - TVO SVB PRESIDIO. Very Rare. NGC graded AU-58. Maximilain was an able ruler who won many great battles, but lost one that badly hurt him, the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. By siding with the French against the empire, he was banished from the Munich court and this lost his influence and prestige. His plan to supplant the Habsburgs with the Wittelsbachs failed.
