(sold for $1223.0)

Islamic Coins, Rassid (First Period), al-Nasir li-din Allah (301-325h), Silver 3-Sudaysi (= ½-Dirham), Sa’da, undated, 1.43g (A -). Double struck, very fine and extremely rare, an unrecorded denomination. The Sudaysi, or 1/6-Dirham, is the well-known silver coinage of the Yemen, with only occasional mentions of the Dirham of the full canonical weight (qafla). This piece appears to be the only multiple denomination of the Sudaysi known, and is thus a great numismatic curiosity. £600-800
