Obverse The portrait in right profile of Elizabeth II, when she was 64 years old, is surrounded with the inscription "ELIZABETH II D · G · REGINA" (Elizabeth II, Queen by the grace of God). Lettering: ELIZABETH II D · G · REGINA Engraver: Dora de Pédery-Hunt Dora de Pédery-Hunt, CM OOnt was a Hungarian-Canadian sculptor who designed medals and coins. She was the first Canadian citizen to design an effigy for Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse A caribou is accompanied with the facial value and surrounded with the inscription "CANADA". On the reverse, rim denticles were replaced by beads from 1993 on.
