1817 N-8 R2 VF30 "Mouse". Glossy steel brown and chocolate with frosty lighter brown in protected areas on the reverse. A small spot of darker toning right of OF is the only mark. LDS with a "Finger Mouse" break extending up from the top of the head under star 8. The depression in the field under star 5 that is associated with the later states of this variety is clear to the unaided eye. An attractive example of this popular "Mouse" break variety.
