The original Coronet Large Cent, sometimes nicknamed “Matron Head”, was a type of cent issued by the United States Mint in Philadephia from 1816 until 1839. It was one of two similar designs of the Coronet Head Large Cent, the other with a slightly altered profile, produced from 1839 until the end of the production of large cents in 1857.

Very close to VF30. Just a few trivial ticks from flawless. MDS with a double profile on the top edge of the coronet tip (caused by die bounce) ...

Five points sharper but recolored an attractive glossy chocolate and steel with traces of frosty lighter brown in protected areas on the obverse. The only notable mark is a thin nick in the hair under star 7. MDS. Estimated Value $100-UP. Categories:

Then the cent was retoned frosty light olive and steel fading to darker olive brown in protected areas. Great details and virtually no marks. MDS. Esti ...
