The type two Manen Obans feature a machined surface with larger neatly spaced crenellations. This method of manufacture is unique to the last Obans of the Manen period. An exquisite example with totally original and well preserved inking.The ink is bold and clear, with only the most minimal loss at the higher points. Oban is housed in a fitted velvet lined bamboo case, accompanied by a certification by the JNDA (Japan Numismatic Dealer’s Association) attesting to the originality of the inking. Exceptional and RARE in this state of preservation.
