Very fine to extremely fine. (10) There are at least four varieties of Saharanpur Rupees dated AH 1218 Year 45. This was the year that the area was ceded to the EIC by the Marathas. It is not known which of the Rupee varieties were struck under the Marathas and which under the EIC. Dr Paul Stevens, in his recently published book on the coins of the Bengal Presidency, lists all four varieties as possible EIC issues.
