EXTREMELY RARE Stockholm Mint 3 Daler Re-Validation
9 x 9.25 in. KM-PM95; AAH-203c; BT-A. EXTREMELY RARE (Tingstrom: only 13 examples known). A revaluation stamp of 3 Dalers 1718 applied at Stockholm to a 1711 2 Daler of Avesta, with crossed arrows below mintmark. The new denomination stamp was to increase the intrinsic value by 50% on plates produced between 1710 and May 1715. Revalued plates are EXTREMELY RARE, seldom offered and highly sought after by collectors. Center stamp is about three-quarters complete, with four legible complete dates. A seldom seen revaluation type with attractive light brown patina.
