1794 S-57 R1 VG10+. Five points sharper but there are several light contact marks around the rims on both sides, and the rims have been carefully smoothed to minimize their impact. The smoothing was skillfully done and it takes a glass to detect the work. The only rim marks remaining visible are a rim nick over the E in STATES, a rim bruise at S-O, and a few small nicks on the rim under the fraction. The surfaces are smooth and the toning is a nice glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. E-MDS, Breen state II, with a couple barely visible waves or "trenches" in the field before the face and a depression over ICA in AMERICA. The date is bold and the legends are complete. Estimated Value $400-UP. Categories: Liberty Cap Cents
