Small edge knock at 5 o’clock on the reverse, otherwise as struck. Scarce in this condition. Furrer Hastedt & Co. is the oldest know “Farm Token” (dated 1854) and was minted in denominations of ½, 1 and 2. Although reputed to be the year of minting, the date on it could also be the date of commencement of operations of the company or foundation, because in those years they were just beginning to develop coffee growing in the country $ 100.
