1843 N-12 R1 Petite Head, Small Letters VF35. Ten points sharper but recolored glossy medium brown and light chocolate with faded red in protected areas. No spots or stains, but there are some light contact marks on both sides, including a rim nick at the first A in AMERICA. Semi-unique latest known die state with a small but clearly defined rim cud break over the T in UNITED to the left edge of the adjacent E. This latest cud is in addition to the earlier ones from under the end of the wreath ribbon clockwise to over UNIT (state e). This new die state has been designated state f. It was discovered at the 2013 ANA Convention and two examples are now known. This is the discovery coin. Estimated Value $200-UP.
