Imperatorial Period. Octavian (as Imperator), 43-27 BC. AR Denarius minted at Pergamum, 28 BC. Bare head right of Octavian; under neck, capricorn. Reverse: Crocodile right. RIC 545 [as R3]; Cr. 432; BMC 653. A few short, insignificant marks. Certainly one of the finest examples known of this historical issue.
