EEN POND in two lines (KM.11; Fr.4; Hern.Z54), in plastic holder, graded by NGC as About Uncirculated 58, rare, a pleasing example having bold legends and smooth surfaces without damage, and a rich golden tone, very rare £14,000-16,000 The famous Boer War issue engraved and struck by hand at the temporary mint at Pilgrims Rest, on the South African veld. Few examples have survived.
