Ionia, Smyrna. 155-145 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.90 g). Stephanophoric type. Turreted head of Tyche right. Reverse: Inscription in two lines above magistrate's monogram; all with laurel wreath. SNG Deutschland 2161 (this magistrate). Struck in high relief on a large round flan free from doubling. A superb example, the finest we have seen. Excellent metal and toned.
