Very Rare Gold Solidus of Aelia Flaccilla, first wife of Theodosius I, AD 379-395. Gold Solidus (4.28 g) minted at Constantinople. Diademed and mantled bust right of Aelia Flaccilla. Reverse: Victory seated right on throne, inscribing Chi-Rho on shield set on column. Cf. RIC IX, 48 and the later emission, RIC 72 [both are as R4]. Perfectly centered with full legends.
