Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. AE Dupondius minted at Rome under Caligula, AD 37-41. Radiate head left of Divus Augustus. Reverse: Caligula seated left, togate, on curule chair, holding branch in outstretched right hand. RIC 56; BMC 88. With a superb natural dark gray patina, set off with a light earthen overlay.
