1 Cent    (sold for $2449.0)

† COINS, ASIAN TERRITORIES, SARAWAK J Brooke (1842-1868), Bronzed Copper Specimen Cent, 1863 (Pr 31A; KM 3). About uncirculated with a few very light handling marks. There were 16 of these in the Heaton Archives and it seems a few other’ made their way out of the mint over the years. It is known as both a bronzed and brilliant specimen strike, although the rarity of each is not certain. I am leaning towards the bronzed piece being the more common.£300-500
