† Coins of India. East India Company. Bombay Presidency, Silver Rupee, Mumbai mint, Year 12(?) or 14(?) (Pr 44(?); KM 163).Good very fine, toned. There is a shroff mark to the right of the second figure of the year, but it only looks like it could be a “2” or a “4” under the mark. The mint mark in the S of the Julus is a bent five-petalled flower (as Pr 48) which is only listed for ry 17, 18 and 19 (and on to the end of the series).None of these fit because of the second number of the ry, so this mark probably started earlier than Pridmore believed. Part of the David Fore Collection of British Indian Coins. £100-150
